Built to Perform Where Others Derate

Most inverters lose output as internal temperature climbs. Solis built this unit around patented heat transfer technology specifically to counter that, delivering a continuous output increase of up to 5% at high temperature compared to a standard design. That said, real-world derating still exists at temperature extremes, the datasheet rates the unit at 350kW at 30°C, stepping down to 325kW at 40°C and 300kW at 51°C, a transparent curve rather than a single headline number that only holds under ideal conditions. For sites in genuinely hot climates, that improved thermal performance narrows the gap between nameplate and real output more than a conventional design would.

Grid Support Without Separate Equipment

A less obvious but genuinely useful feature: this inverter delivers a 20ms fast reactive power response, fast enough that it can functionally replace a separate SVG (static var generator) unit that a large plant might otherwise need for grid voltage support. That's not a small saving on a utility-scale project, it removes an entire piece of auxiliary equipment, along with its footprint, cost, and maintenance burden, by folding that capability into the inverter itself.

Engineered for Harsh Sites

The housing carries a C5-M anti-corrosion rating, a step above the C5 rating seen on smaller units in Solis's range, intended for genuinely marine or heavily industrial environments. Active safety features include intelligent string break detection with remote DC switch release, AC/DC terminal temperature monitoring, and per-MPPT online insulation fault detection for fast fault isolation across the unit's 30 input strings. Environmental resilience extends to low-temperature antifreeze protection, reverse dust removal, and indoor dehumidification, features aimed at sites where weather extremes, not just heat, are a real operating condition.
